This will be my mantra for 2022:
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”—Romans 8:31
.
I’m not someone who usually quotes from religious texts but this, right here, so speaks to me. For a while, in my younger years, I attended a Christian Science church and was taught there that God is Love, Life, Truth, Soul, Mind, Spirit, and divine Principle. That is one of the best things that I took away from that religious experience. So if, for whatever reasons, the word God makes you uncomfortable, substitute any of those other words and the intention of this quote remains the same.

These are challenging times but we can choose to believe in, hope, and work hard for the best results.
We can choose to refuse the energy of hate and, instead, practice love.
We can be gentle with one another, and with ourselves.
We can get the help we need to achieve or maintain good physical and mental health.
We can just breathe—deep inhale then long exhale—and remain present in each second, minute, hour, and day.
We can survive.

Thank you for reminding me to choose hope.
